Gaia is operated by Argus Technology Corporation. By using it you agree to what follows. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming that you may bind that organisation.

What Gaia does, and what it does not

Gaia simulates how populations respond to a question, and returns that as a panel of synthetic personas together with an analysis of how they answered. A panel is composed of synthetic personas. They are generated outright and are not derived from any individual’s personal records, and in no case does a persona represent, or purport to represent, an identifiable individual. Any resemblance to a living person is coincidental rather than intended.

The output is a description of how a simulated population responded under the stated conditions. It is not a prediction about any named person, it is not a measurement of any real population, and it is not a substitute for research with actual human participants. A panel is a way to think more carefully about a decision, not evidence that the decision is right.

Nothing Gaia produces is legal, financial, medical, employment, or other professional advice. Decisions you take after reading a panel are yours, and their consequences are yours too.

Your account and access

Some functions require an operator credential. Keep it to the people you intend to have it, tell us promptly if you believe it has been shared more widely, and note that you are responsible for activity carried out with it, including the cost of generation it causes.

What you may not do

Do not use Gaia to generate material depicting a real, identifiable person, whether by name, likeness, or a description specific enough to identify one. Do not use it to create material that is unlawful, that harasses or defames, that sexualises minors, or that is designed to deceive someone about who they are dealing with.

Do not present a simulated panel as though it were real research with real participants. If you share output publicly or with a client, say plainly that the people in it are simulated. Misrepresenting a panel as human research is both a breach of these terms and the fastest way to damage the credibility of the work.

Do not attempt to extract credentials or prompts, circumvent access controls or usage limits, resell access without agreement, or use automated means to generate volume beyond ordinary use.

Content and ownership

You keep whatever rights you have in the questions and material you submit. You give us permission to process that material to operate the service, which includes sending it to the model providers described in our Privacy Policy.

As between you and us, you may use the panels, text, images, audio and video Gaia produces for your own purposes, including commercially, subject to these terms and to the terms of the underlying model providers. We make no claim that generated output is unique; a similar question may produce similar output for someone else.

Availability

Gaia is provided as it is. Features may change or be withdrawn, retention of past panels is not guaranteed, and generation depends on third-party providers who may be slow, degraded or unavailable. We do not promise uptime unless we have agreed one with you in writing.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Argus Technology Corporation is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits or opportunity, or for decisions taken in reliance on simulated output. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim arose.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending access

You may stop using Gaia at any time. We may suspend or withdraw access if these terms are breached, or if continuing would expose us or a provider to legal or reputational risk.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. The date at the top shows when they last moved. Continuing to use Gaia after a change means you accept the revised terms.
